Most of them who now taking refuge in Cox\u2019s Bazar district recount the horrible tales of human rights abuses and persecution they came under since the attacks of three police posts by \u201can unknown assailant group\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Several victims of what the United Nations described \u201cethnic cleansing\u201d have lost friends and family members, suffered gang-rape and seen destruction of their houses and properties.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_17590\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-17590\" style=\"width: 981px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thestateless.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Noor-Begum-Refugee-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-17590\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thestateless.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Noor-Begum-Refugee-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"981\" height=\"992\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-17590\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em><strong>Noor Begum and her 3-year old son in the makeshift refugee camp<\/strong><\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Noor Begum, a 30-year old Rohingya woman who takes shelter in the unregistered Kutupalong refugee camp with her 3-year old child, faces it hard staying in the camp without shelter, clothes and food in the harsh weather for more than a week.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">She said her husband Anis Ullah (35), was dragged away by the Myanmar army and killed in a paddy field before setting fire her house.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cAfter my husband was killed, I was forcibly removed from our house and loot and burned it completely. I was then beaten until I became unconscious,\u201d recount Noor Begum with her crying boy in her lap.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">She left U Shey Kya (locally known as Bura Shidda Fara) village without food, clothes and relatives.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>She continues, \u201cas a mother, it breaks my heart when my baby cries for his father and for food which I am unable to afford in the camp.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cIn this unbearably cold winter, we have had to stay under the open sky without a blanket,\u201d she describes her horrible new life as a refugee without her husband and relatives.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">She is not alone.
